Sandi Everlove
Sandi Everlove is an educator and instructional designer who coauthored Productive Group Work: How to Engage Students, Build Teamwork, and Promote Understanding (ASCD, 2009) with Nancy Frey and Douglas Fisher. She is the founder and chief academic officer of TeachFirst, where she helped develop a professional learning model that combines video-based examples of research-informed instructional practices, collaborative learning communities, leadership development, and onsite consulting.
Earlier in her career, Everlove taught high school chemistry in Seattle Public Schools, receiving the Washington State Golden Apple Award in 1998 and creating an award-winning high school ethics course. She has also been active in educational equity initiatives, including establishing and training a mobile professional development team to support rural teachers in Guatemala and cofounding Lake Washington Girls Middle School, noted as the first not-for-profit, secular all-girls middle school in Washington state.
