Sandra Musanti

Sandra I. Musanti is a professor and chair of the Department of Bilingual and Literacy Studies at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Originally from Argentina, she holds a Ph.D. in education from the University of New Mexico and specializes in bilingual teacher education, translanguaging, bilingual teacher identity, and teacher development.

Musanti is a co-author, with Sandra Mercuri and Alma D. Rodríguez, of La enseñanza en el aula bilingüe: Content, Language, and Biliteracy, a Spanish-language professional book published in 2022. Her scholarly publications also address linguistic inclusivity, translanguaging, and the preparation of bilingual teachers.
