Sanjuana Rodriguez
Sanjuana Carrillo Rodriguez, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Reading and Literacy Education and Co-Director of the Academy for Language and Literacy at Kennesaw State University. A former elementary grades teacher and literacy coach, her research focuses on early literacy development of culturally and linguistically diverse students, diverse children’s literature, and the experiences of Latinx pre- and in-service teachers.
Rodriguez is a co-author of Revolutionary Love: Creating a Culturally Inclusive Literacy Classroom, a professional text that offers frameworks and strategies for building equitable, culturally affirming literacy classrooms. In addition to her scholarship, she conducts professional development for educators on culturally inclusive literacy, revolutionary love frameworks, and classroom community-building practices.
