Santiago Rincon-Gallardo

Santiago Rincón-Gallardo is an education consultant, researcher, and author focused on educational change and deep learning. He is a key member of Michael Fullan’s international team and serves as Chief Research Officer, working with leaders and educators to transform teaching and learning across education systems in North America, Latin America, Europe, and Australia. Originally from Mexico City, he spent over a decade promoting grassroots pedagogical innovations and instructional transformation in Mexican public schools serving historically marginalized communities, including directing an NGO that helped turn conventional classrooms into tutorial learning networks and influenced nationwide policy reaching thousands of schools.

Rincón-Gallardo holds a doctorate in Educational Policy, Leadership, and Instructional Practice from Harvard University and completed postdoctoral work as a visiting scholar and professor at the University of Toronto, where he is described as an academic and researcher in education policy. He previously studied mathematics at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). His scholarly work examines how effective pedagogies for deep, meaningful learning can spread at scale, and he has authored Liberating Learning: Educational Change as a Social Movement as well as coauthoring Whole Learners, Whole Systems: Transforming School Districts for Adolescent Thriving.
