Sara Delano Moore

Sara Delano Moore is a mathematics educator, author, and consultant whose work focuses on helping teachers and students understand mathematics as a coherent, connected discipline through deep conceptual understanding and multiple representations. A fourth‑generation educator, she has taught mathematics and science in elementary and middle grades and has served as a mathematics teacher educator at the University of Kentucky, Director of the Kentucky Center for Middle School Academic Achievement, and Director of Mathematics & Science at ETA hand2mind. Her journal articles have appeared in Mathematics Teaching in the Middle School, Teaching Children Mathematics, Science & Children, Science Scope, and Middle School Journal.

Moore is an author of multiple Corwin Mathematics titles, including Visible Learning for Mathematics, Grades K–12, Teaching Mathematics in the Visible Learning Classroom, Grades 3–5 and 6–8, the Mathematize It! series, and Mastering Math Manipulatives, Grades K–3 and 4–8. She has worked as an independent mathematics education consultant through SDM Learning and serves in leadership roles at ORIGO Education, including Vice President for Content & Research and Chair of the Mathematics Advisory Board, where she supports professional learning in mathematics and STEM education.
