Sarah Adomako-Ansah

Sarah Adomako-Ansah is a Canadian educator and author focused on classroom practice, equity, and human rights education. She is a graduate of the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Education (2013) and spent eight years teaching Grades 3–6 with the Edmonton Catholic School Division. She later became the division’s first Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism Consultant, supporting administrators, teachers, and students on these topics.

Adomako-Ansah is co-founder of the Black Teachers’ Association of Alberta and has served as Educator in Residence and now Manager, Education Outreach at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, where she helped develop the “Pass the Mic: Let’s Talk About Racism” program and an anti-racism teaching resource for classrooms. She is a co-author of Navigating the First Years: A Toolkit for Classroom Success and has been recognized for her leadership in human rights and diversity with the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal and the Randy Palivoda Award.
