Savannah Campbell
Savannah Campbell is a K–5 reading specialist, national presenter, and literacy consultant who focuses on evidence-based reading instruction and bridging research to classroom practice. She has spent more than a decade working in elementary classrooms, including over twelve years teaching at the same school she attended as a child, and has been recognized as Teacher of the Year for her reading council, for her school, and as Elementary Educator of the Year for her district. Campbell holds two master’s degrees in education/elementary education from the College of William & Mary and is trained in Orton–Gillingham and LETRS, reflecting her expertise in structured literacy approaches.
Campbell is a co-author of The Megabook of Vocabulary: Strategies to Boost Word Learning for Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening, written with Timothy V. Rasinski and Melissa Cheesman Smith and published by Scholastic in 2026. She is also the creator of the literacy website Campbell Creates Readers, where she shares science-of-reading–aligned resources and insights, and she hosts related media including podcasts and online trainings that support teachers in implementing research-based reading and vocabulary instruction.
