Shane Clester

Shane Clester is a children’s book illustrator who has been working professionally since 2005 and is largely self-taught. He has illustrated numerous titles for young readers, including the 13th Street chapter book series written by David Bowles—among them 13th Street #1: Battle of the Bad-Breath Bats—as well as licensed books for major franchises such as Marvel’s Avengers, Sesame Street, Star Wars, Disney, Illumination, and Nickelodeon.

Clester currently lives in Florida with his wife and their two children. In addition to his work-for-hire projects, he has self-published several children’s books and is known for his flexible, digital illustration style that gives early chapter books like 13th Street a graphic novel feel.
