Sharon Fargason

Sharon Fargason is a Lecturer and Supervisor in the Department of Education Studies at the University of California, San Diego. She earned a B.A. in Human Development, an M.Ed., and an Ed.D. from UC San Diego, and has taught in elementary schools in San Diego for more than twenty years.

Her published work includes Becoming Scientists: Inquiry-Based Teaching in Diverse Classrooms, Grades 3–5, coauthored with Rusty Bresser. Her UC San Diego biography describes her work as focusing on equity and access for all students, with particular interest in science education, student-centered teaching and learning, and support for novice teachers.
