Sharroky Hollie

Sharroky Hollie, PhD, is a national educator and the executive director of The Center for Culturally Responsive Teaching and Learning. According to his author bio, he has over 25 years of experience in education, including work as a middle and high school teacher, a district professional development coordinator in Los Angeles Unified School District, a school founder and administrator, and a university professor in teacher education at California State University.

Hollie has trained more than 150,000 educators and worked in nearly 2,000 classrooms since 2000. His published works include Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Teaching and Learning: Classroom Practices for Student Success (first published in 2011 and later released in a second edition), Strategies for Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Teaching and Learning (2015), Supporting Underserved Students: How to Make PBIS Culturally and Linguistically Responsive, and The Will to Lead, the Skill to Teach.
