Shawn M. Sinclair-Slakk (often credited as Shawn Slakk) is an educator and consultant specializing in instruction for English learners across K–12 settings. He has served as a teacher, LEP/EL department chair, school principal, Title III professional development coach, and state-level English learner coordinator and evaluator of EL instructional strategies, and is the CEO and founder of ABCDSS Consulting Consortium, through which he works with state education departments, districts, and schools to integrate language acquisition strategies into core content instruction.
As an author, Shawn Slakk is a coauthor of Teaching Reading to English Learners, Grades 6–12: A Framework for Improving Achievement in the Content Areas with Margarita Espino Calderón, and a contributing author to Breaking Down the Wall: Essential Shifts for English Learners’ Success.
