Shelley Burgess

Shelley Burgess is an educator, author, and co-founder of Dave Burgess Consulting, Inc. She spent 20 years in education as a teacher, principal, Director of Student Achievement, and Assistant Superintendent of Educational Leadership, leading initiatives focused on improving teaching, learning, and leadership development. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Burgess co-authored P is for PIRATE: Inspirational ABC’s for Educators with her husband, Dave Burgess, and Lead Like a PIRATE: Make School AMAZING for Your Students and Staff with Beth Houf.
