Sherri L. Martinie

Sherri L. Martinie is a professor of curriculum and instruction in the College of Education at Kansas State University, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics education. Before joining Kansas State, she taught elementary, middle, and high school mathematics for a combined 20 years, and earlier sources also describe her as a former public school teacher at those levels.

Her published work includes Figuring Out Fluency - Addition and Subtraction With Fractions and Decimals: A Classroom Companion, Figuring Out Fluency - Multiplication and Division With Fractions and Decimals: A Classroom Companion, Figuring Out Fluency – Operations With Rational Numbers and Algebraic Equations: A Classroom Companion, and The Well-Rounded Math Student: Leveraging Math Practices to Build Next Generation Skills. She has also been identified as a coauthor of Math and Literature, Grades 6–8, served as president of the Kansas Association of Teachers of Mathematics in 2004, and received the Kansas Department of Education Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching Mathematics.
