Simon Sinek

Simon Sinek is a British-American author, motivational speaker, and leadership expert best known for his work on purpose-driven leadership and the concept of the “Golden Circle.” Born in Wimbledon, London, in 1973, he studied cultural anthropology at Brandeis University before beginning a career in advertising and marketing in New York, working with major agencies such as Ogilvy & Mather and Euro RSCG. He gained global prominence with his 2009 TED Talk “How Great Leaders Inspire Action,” which introduced his idea that effective leaders and organizations “start with why”—a clear sense of purpose that inspires others.

Sinek is the author of several bestselling books on leadership and organizational culture, including Start with Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action, Leaders Eat Last: Why Some Teams Pull Together and Others Don’t, and The Infinite Game. His work focuses on how trust, empathy, and long-term thinking help leaders build resilient teams and organizations, and he continues to teach and speak to audiences ranging from major corporations to government institutions about the power of purpose-driven leadership.
