Skip Tyler Jr
Skip Tyler Jr. is a mathematics educator, consultant, and author who co‑authored Math Workshop, Grades 6–12: Five Steps to Implementing a Student-Centered Learning Environment with Jennifer Lempp. In this book, he helps middle and high school teachers design and implement student-centered math workshops that emphasize collaboration, mathematical discourse, and productive struggle in rich problem-solving tasks.
A former secondary teacher and High School Mathematics Educational Specialist, Tyler is the Co-Founder and Lead Consultant of Collaborative Teaching and Learning Group Consulting, where he works with schools and districts across the United States to support instructional best practices and student-centered mathematics classrooms. He frequently leads professional learning sessions and workshops for K–12 math educators, including sessions on implementing math workshop structures and “changing the story” of mathematics teaching and learning.
