Margaret Jean Snowling CBE FBA FMedSci is a British psychologist and a leading expert on dyslexia and language difficulties, currently Professor Emerita of Psychology at the University of Oxford and a Research Fellow at St John’s College, Oxford. She served as President of St John’s College, Oxford from 2012 to 2022.
Snowling is the author of Dyslexia: A Very Short Introduction (Oxford University Press, 2019), which provides an accessible overview of research on dyslexia, including its causes, neurobiological basis, and evidence-based interventions. Her wider scholarly work focuses on childhood disorders of reading and language, and she is recognized internationally as one of the leading researchers in this field.
