Sonja R. de Boer
Sonja R. de Boer, Ph.D., BCBA-D, is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral who earned her Ph.D. in special education and psychology and research in education at the University of Kansas, with an emphasis on early intervention for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). She has approximately 30 years of experience in early childhood special education, early intervention services, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with students with disabilities, particularly children with ASD, including designing and supervising in-home, preschool, and elementary school intervention and educational programs. De Boer serves as a faculty member in Child Psychiatry at Tufts University Medical Center and provides training and consultation nationally on interventions for children with ASD.
De Boer is a co-author of The Educator’s Guide to Autism Spectrum Disorder: Interventions and Treatments, and was one of the original co-authors of Autism Spectrum Disorders: Interventions and Treatments for Children and Youth. She is also the author of Successful Inclusion for Students with Autism: Creating a Complete, Effective ASD Inclusion Program and Discrete Trial Training, 2nd edition, and works as a behavior analyst and educational consultant, training educators and parents and supporting inclusion programs for children with autism spectrum disorders.
