Stacy Simonyi
Stacy Simonyi is an assistant professor of education at Saint Michael’s College, where she specializes in reading and literacy, children’s and young adult literature, school library media, child development, and early childhood education. She holds an Ed.D. from Capella University, an MLIS from Kent State University, and both an M.Ed. and B.S. from Ohio University. At Saint Michael’s, she has also served in leadership roles such as counselor for the Kappa Delta Pi education honor society.
Simonyi is coauthor, with Tania Campanelli, of Positive Classroom Communities: Activities to Support Student’s Emotional and Social Growth, a professional resource grounded in the CASEL social and emotional learning framework and focused on practical strategies for building supportive, inclusive classroom communities. Her work with Heinemann includes writing and appearing in professional learning materials on topics such as self-awareness and self-management in positive classroom communities.
