Stella Villalba
Stella Villalba is an educator, writer, and teacher leader whose work focuses on multilingual learners, biliteracy, and culturally sustaining pedagogy. Born in Argentina and raised in a bicultural, bilingual household, she began her career teaching English as a Second Language in Asunción, Paraguay, and later taught in dual-language schools and ESL programs.
Villalba has taught English language learners for more than 20 years and has also collaborated with and coached teachers in the Dublin, Ohio, school district. Her published work includes Wondrous Words: Reimagining Writers and Writing in the Elementary Classroom, co-authored with Katie Wood Ray, and the forthcoming Tell Me More: Conferring with Writers, Authors, and Storytellers. According to professional profiles and event bios, she has a BA in foreign language teaching, an MA in language, literacy, and culture, and is pursuing a PhD at The Ohio State University.
