Stephanie Malia Krauss is an educator, social worker, author, and founder of First Quarter Strategies, a consulting firm focused on helping children and families thrive. She is also a senior fellow with the CERES Institute for Children & Youth at Boston University and Education Northwest, and a senior advisor to the Children’s Funding Project and Youth-Nex at the University of Virginia.
Krauss began her career as a fifth-grade teacher in Phoenix, Arizona, and holds a master’s degree in education from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in social work from Washington University in St. Louis. Her books include Making It: What Today’s Kids Need for Tomorrow’s World, Whole Child, Whole Life: 10 Ways to Help Kids Live, Learn, & Thrive, and How We Thrive: Caring for Kids and Ourselves in a Changing World.
