Dr. Stephanie Stollar is a school psychologist, researcher, and national leader in MTSS and the science of reading who specializes in helping schools use assessment and multi-tiered systems of support to improve reading outcomes. She is the founder of Stephanie Stollar Consulting and the Reading Science Academy, where she supports districts through professional development, coaching, and system-level consulting to implement evidence-based literacy instruction and data-driven decision making. Widely recognized for bridging research and practice, she is frequently featured as a speaker and presenter on topics such as reading assessment, MTSS, and the science of reading.
Stollar is the co-author of MTSS for Reading Improvement: A Leader’s Tool Kit for Schoolwide Success, written with Sarah Brown, which guides K–12 leaders in implementing the science of reading within an MTSS framework. She also co-authored Reading Assessment Done Right: Tools and Techniques for Data-Driven Instruction with Kate Winn, a book that helps classroom teachers use screening, diagnostic, and progress-monitoring assessments to drive instruction and improve student outcomes.
