Stephen Shaskan

Stephen Shaskan is the author and illustrator of several children’s books, including A Dog Is a Dog, Big Choo, Toad on the Road, Max Speed, and The Three Triceratops Tuff. He also creates the graphic chapter book series Pizza and Taco and has illustrated Punk Skunks and the graphic novel series Q and Ray, both written by his wife, Trisha Speed Shaskan.

Shaskan holds a BFA in illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design and worked for twenty years as an early childhood educator and after-school/summer art teacher. He lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and frequently visits schools and libraries to read and teach drawing and comics to children.
