Steve Gruenert

Steve Gruenert, PhD, is the chair of the Department of Educational Leadership at Indiana State University, where he has taught educational leadership since 2002. His background includes experience as a public school teacher and secondary-level administrator, and he has focused his research on school culture and climate.

He earned a PhD in Educational Governance and Supervision from the University of Missouri, along with degrees in educational administration and education from Central Missouri State University. Gruenert is the coauthor of School Culture Rewired: How to Define, Assess, and Transform It and School Culture Recharged: Strategies to Energize Your Staff and Culture, both with Todd Whitaker, and has also published on school culture in journals and other professional outlets.
