Steve Ventura
Steve Ventura is an education consultant, author, and president of Advanced Collaborative Solutions (ACS), where he partners with schools and districts to strengthen instructional clarity, collaboration, and equitable student outcomes. He is a former classroom teacher and has served in multiple K–12 leadership roles, including assistant principal, principal, director of assessment and accountability, and superintendent, experience that informs his work with professional learning communities (PLCs) and teacher teams. Ventura holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching and a master’s degree in Education Administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
Ventura is the author of Achievement Teams: How a Better Approach to PLCs Can Improve Student Outcomes and Teacher Efficacy and Improving Instruction Together: Leading Achievement Teams and PLCs, both published by ASCD, as well as other books and articles on collaboration and instructional leadership. His flagship Achievement Teams framework, grounded in research on visible learning and collective teacher efficacy, provides a four-step protocol to help teacher teams analyze assessment data, set goals, and select high-impact instructional strategies to improve student achievement. He frequently presents and keynotes at education conferences, working with educators across the United States to build effective PLCs and achievement teams that support continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
