Steven Scott

Steven Scott is a comics writer and publicist who co-wrote the New York Times–bestselling graphic memoir They Called Us Enemy with George Takei and Justin Eisinger, illustrated by Harmony Becker. The book, first published in 2019 by Top Shelf Productions, recounts Takei’s childhood experience of Japanese American incarceration during World War II.

Scott has worked regularly in comics since publishing his debut book in 2010, with his writing appearing in publications from Archie Comics, Arcana Studios, and Heavy Metal magazine. In addition to his comics work, he has written as a blogger and columnist for pop‑culture sites including Forces of Geek, Great Scott Comics, and PopMatters.
