Susan Zimmermann

Susan Zimmermann is an educator, speaker, workshop leader, writer, and education consultant. She cofounded and served as executive director of Denver’s Public Education and Business Coalition, where she initiated programs to improve public-school quality, including the Reading Project. She is a graduate of Yale Law School and lives in Colorado with her husband and four children.

Zimmermann is the coauthor, with Chryse Hutchins, of 7 Keys to Comprehension: How to Help Your Kids Read It and Get It! and Mosaic of Thought, as well as Comprehension Going Forward. Her other books include Writing to Heal the Soul, which won a Colorado Book Award, and Grief Dancers, a Colorado Book Award finalist.
