Suzanne Carreker

Suzanne Carreker, Ph.D., CALT-QI, is an educator and reading specialist known for her work in multisensory structured literacy and dyslexia intervention. She co-edited the fourth edition of Multisensory Teaching of Basic Language Skills and authored the Multisensory Teaching of Basic Language Skills Activity Book, as well as textbook chapters on reading, spelling, and related areas of literacy instruction. A Certified Academic Language Therapist and Qualified Instructor, she is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and has developed systematic literacy curricula and teacher training materials focused on evidence-based reading methods.

Carreker serves as Principal Educational Content Lead at Lexia Learning, a role she assumed in 2015, where she has led the design of reading programs for struggling adolescent readers. Her career includes approximately 28 years at Neuhaus Education Center in Texas, where she served as Senior Vice President of Innovative Solutions and Director of Teacher Development, preparing teachers in basic literacy instruction and multisensory approaches.
