Ta-Nehisi Coates
Ta-Nehisi Coates is an American author, journalist, and essayist born in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1975. He attended Howard University and has written for publications including The Atlantic, where he became widely known for his reporting and essays on race in the United States.
Coates is the author of The Beautiful Struggle, Between the World and Me, We Were Eight Years in Power, and The Water Dancer. Between the World and Me won the National Book Award for nonfiction in 2015, and he also wrote Marvel’s Black Panther: A Nation Under Our Feet comic series.
