Tamika Casey
Tamika Casey is an educator and equity-focused school leader who has served in multiple roles within the San Bernardino City Unified School District, including site administrator, mainstream classroom teacher, SANKOFA Culturally Responsive Demonstration Teacher, teaching coach, and program specialist for the Department of Equity and Targeted Student Achievement. She has also worked as an elementary principal and as an instructor in the school leadership program in the College of Education at California State University, San Bernardino. Her leadership centers on developing culturally proficient and equitable practices in schools, particularly in support of historically underserved students.
Casey is the founder and lead consultant of Casey Education Solutions, where she focuses on helping individuals and organizations align their stated values with equitable, culturally responsive practices. She is a co-author of Leading Change Through the Lens of Cultural Proficiency: An Equitable Approach to Race and Social Class in Our Schools, published by Corwin, which applies the research-based Cultural Proficiency Framework to guide educational leaders in addressing inequities in schools.
