Tao Xue

Tao Xue (薛涛) is a Chinese author of children’s literature, born in March 1971 in Changtu, Liaoning Province. He is a member of the Children’s Literature Committee of the China Writers Association, serves as vice president of the Liaoning Children’s Literature Society, and is also a member of the Liaoning Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.

Xue has written numerous works for young readers, including titles such as Sky City (天空之城), published by Qingdao Publishing House in January 2015, and animal- and nature-themed books like The Roe Deer in the Moonlight (月光下的狍子), published by Surveying and Mapping Press in 2014. He is also known for collections and stories that depict childhood experiences in Northeast China and relationships with animals, reflecting a blend of poetic style and emotional realism in contemporary Chinese children’s literature.
