Tara Martin

Tara Martin is an educator, author, and leadership strategist whose career spans classroom teaching, instructional coaching, district administration, and educational publishing. She began her K–12 career as an elementary classroom teacher, later serving as an instructional coach supporting multiple elementary schools and mentoring technology coaches and novice teachers. Martin holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (EC–4 Generalist) from Lamar University and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Kansas State University.

Martin is the author of Be REAL: Educate from the Heart (2018) and the inspirational picture book Cannonball In. She is also the creator of #BookSnaps, a literacy and reading-reflection strategy used in classrooms across at least seventeen countries. In addition to writing and speaking, Martin serves as Director of Public Relations and Communication for Dave Burgess Consulting, Inc., where she coaches and supports educational authors. Her work centers on the R.E.A.L. framework—Relatable, Expose vulnerability, Approachable, Learning through life—encouraging educators to lead and teach with authenticity.
