Ted H. (Henry) Hull

Ted H. (Henry) Hull is a mathematics educator and consultant who completed 32 years of service in public education before retiring and founding Hull Educational Consulting. Over the course of his career he has served as a mathematics teacher, K–12 mathematics coordinator, middle school principal, director of curriculum and instruction, and project director for the Charles A. Dana Center at the University of Texas at Austin, where he led the research project “Transforming Schools: Moving from Low-Achieving to High Performing Learning Communities” and worked with educators across Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas to develop instructional leadership and improve mathematics instruction.

Hull is the coauthor of several professional resources for mathematics educators, including Realizing Rigor in the Mathematics Classroom (with Ruth Harbin Miles and Don S. Balka), which focuses on defining and implementing mathematical rigor aligned with the Common Core State Standards practices. He has also coauthored Visible Thinking in the K–8 Mathematics Classroom and contributed to works such as A Guide to Mathematics Leadership: Sequencing Instructional Change, Visible Thinking Activities: 23 Lessons for Problem Solving, and the Math Games: Skill-Based Practice series for elementary grades.
