Tedd Arnold

Tedd Arnold (born January 20, 1949, in Elmira, New York) is an American children’s book author and illustrator best known for the bestselling Fly Guy series, which includes both the early-reader stories and the nonfiction Fly Guy Presents titles such as Fly Guy Presents: Insects (Scholastic Reader, Level 2). He has written and illustrated over fifty books—many sources note more than one hundred—including popular picture books like Green Wilma, Parts, No Jumping on the Bed! and No More Water in the Tub! and has also written the Edgar Award–winning young adult novel Rat Life.

Arnold earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Florida and worked as a commercial and textbook illustrator, graphic designer, and advertising artist before becoming a full-time children’s book creator. His work has received multiple Theodor Seuss Geisel Honors, including recognition for Hi! Fly Guy and I Spy Fly Guy, and the series has sold millions of copies in print. He lives in Florida with his wife, Carol.
