Thomas Armstrong

Thomas Armstrong, PhD, is an educator, psychologist, and writer who has worked in the field of education for more than 40 years. He is the executive director of the American Institute for Learning and Human Development and has written for numerous magazines, newspapers, and journals.

Armstrong is the author of more than a dozen books on learning and human development, including The Power of the Adolescent Brain: Strategies for Teaching Middle and High School Students, Multiple Intelligences in the Classroom, Neurodiversity in the Classroom, The Best Schools, The Multiple Intelligences of Reading and Writing, ADD/ADHD Alternatives in the Classroom, Awakening Genius in the Classroom, The Myth of the ADHD Child, and The Power of Neurodiversity. His work focuses on strength-based approaches to education, adolescent brain development, multiple intelligences, and neurodiversity.
