Thomas J. Pilecki

Thomas J. Pilecki is an educator and arts-integration specialist who coauthored From STEM to STEAM: Using Brain-Compatible Strategies to Integrate the Arts with David A. Sousa. Published sources describe him as a veteran arts educator with a master’s degree in educational administration and a former elementary school teacher, choral and instrumental music teacher, and curriculum director.

He also served as executive director of the Center for Creative Education in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he led professional development for teaching artists and supported arts integration work in schools. Earlier in his career, he founded and served as principal of St. Augustine School of the Arts in the South Bronx, and later consulted with schools and communities on a national basis.
