Tiffany Chanel Anderson

Tiffany Chanel Anderson (Tiffany C. Anderson, Ed.D.) is an educational leader and author who serves as the superintendent of Topeka Public Schools in Kansas, where she is the first Black woman and the longest‑serving superintendent of the district. She has worked extensively to improve outcomes for students in poverty, previously leading the Jennings School District in Missouri, where her work contributed to the district earning full state accreditation. Anderson holds a Doctorate in Education Leadership, earned in May 2001.

Anderson is the author of Building Parent Capacity in High-Poverty Schools: Actions for Authentic Impact, a practical guide focused on strengthening authentic parent engagement to support educational equity. She has also written and co‑written articles on engaging parents in high‑poverty settings, including work published by ASCD on strategies to foster parental engagement through community‑based supports and school‑embedded services.
