Timothy Cusack
Timothy P. Cusack, Ed.D., is a Canadian educator with over 30 years of experience as a classroom teacher, department head, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent of learning services, and system leader in a large urban school division in Alberta. His roles have included responsibility for curriculum, assessment, and professional development, and he has served as deputy superintendent of Edmonton Catholic Schools in Leadership Support Services, supporting school leadership teams across nearly 100 schools.
Cusack is the co-author of Navigating the First Years: A Toolkit for Classroom Success, published by Corwin/SAGE, which provides practical strategies to support new teachers in areas such as equity, culturally responsive practice, classroom environment, and assessment. He has also co-authored The Mentor’s Guidebook: Unleashing Your Potential to Inspire and Retain New Teachers. In addition to his K–12 leadership, Cusack has served as Dean of Education at Concordia University of Edmonton, where he leads teacher preparation and graduate programs in educational leadership.
