Tina H. Boogren

Tina H. Boogren, PhD, is a former classroom teacher, English department chair, teacher mentor, instructional coach, professional developer, athletic coach, and building-level leader who now focuses her work on educator wellness, resilience, and effective instruction. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa, a master’s degree with an administrative endorsement from the University of Colorado Denver, and a doctorate in educational administration and policy studies from the University of Denver.

A finalist for Colorado Teacher of the Year in 2007 and an eight-time recipient of the Douglas County School District Outstanding Teacher Award (2002–2009), Boogren has authored numerous books for educators, including 180 Days of Physical Wellness for Busy Educators, 180 Days of Self-Care for Busy Educators, The Beginning Teacher’s Field Guide: Embarking on Your First Years (and its second edition), Take Time for You: Self-Care Action Plans for Educators, and Supporting Beginning Teachers. She coauthored Motivating and Inspiring Students: Strategies to Awaken the Learner and has contributed to several professional resources, including Middle School Teaching: A Guide to Methods and Resources and Becoming a Reflective Teacher.
