Tina Merriweather Seymour

Tina Merriweather Seymour is a veteran principal, leadership coach, and co-author of Lead From the Start: How to Succeed as the New Principal of Your School, a school leadership guide for new principals and experienced educators. She is the founder and executive director of Strategic Learning Solutions, LLC, an association of educators that provides educational consulting and professional development to K–16 schools. Seymour has served on the faculty of the College of Education at Butler University in Indianapolis as an adjunct professor in its Experiential Program for Preparing School Principals, a master’s program in school administration.

For seven years, Seymour was principal of Northview Middle School in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she led the school to become an International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme World School and to be recognized by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform as a School to Watch. Born and raised in Indianapolis, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in secondary education from the University of Indianapolis and a Master of Science in educational administration from Butler University.
