Todd D. Zakrajsek

Todd D. Zakrajsek, PhD, is an Adjunct Associate Research Professor in the School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he works in the Department of Family Medicine and the Academy of Educators to develop resources for faculty on teaching, learning, leadership, and publishing. Trained as an industrial/organizational psychologist, he earned his PhD and MS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Ohio University and a BS in Psychology with a minor in sociology from Lake Superior State College. Over a career spanning more than four decades, he has held tenured and adjunct faculty positions, founded and directed centers for teaching and learning at multiple institutions, and led faculty development initiatives at colleges and universities in the Pacific Northwest, Midwest, and South.

Zakrajsek is a widely published scholar and faculty developer whose work focuses on effective teaching and learning in higher education. He is coauthor of the 3rd edition of _Classroom Assessment Techniques: Formative Feedback Tools for College and University Teachers_ with Thomas A. Angelo and coauthor of the 5th edition of _Teaching at Its Best: A Research-Based Resource for College Instructors_ with Linda B. Nilson.
