Tom Roy

Tom Roy is an education author and instructional coaching expert whose work focuses on helping schools build effective, solution-focused coaching programs to improve teaching and learning. He is a co-author of Coaching Classroom Instruction, part of the Classroom Strategies series developed around Robert J. Marzano’s model of effective teaching.

In addition to Coaching Classroom Instruction, Roy is the author of Coaching for Significant and Sustained Change in the Classroom, which outlines a five-step instructional coaching model for creating positive, schoolwide change. His experience and insight into coaching are highlighted in Marzano Resources materials, which emphasize his role in making instructional coaches more effective in supporting teachers’ professional growth.
