Tricia Zucker, PhD, is a Professor of Pediatrics and Co-Director of the Children’s Learning Institute at UTHealth Houston. Her research focuses on early literacy and language development, especially for children at risk for learning disabilities, and on evidence-based curriculum, family- and school-based interventions, and early childhood assessment.
She is the coauthor of Strive-for-Five Conversations: A Framework That Gets Kids Talking, a book on using responsive, multi-turn conversations to support children’s language development and literacy. Sources also describe her as a former early childhood teacher and an education researcher.
