Veronica Scott

Veronica Scott is an educator, writer, and artist who co-authored The Artful Approach to Exploring Identity and Fostering Belonging with Rebecca Bellingham, a professional book for K–8 teachers published by Heinemann. Together, they present an arts-centered approach to teaching that weaves picture books, poetry, storytelling, movement, and pop culture into classroom practice to help children explore identity, experience belonging, and engage with honest history in developmentally appropriate ways.

Scott is also a co-founder of Artful Belonging Studio, through which she and Bellingham design immersive professional learning experiences and workshops for educators and school leaders, drawing on their background as K–8 educators, school leaders, and artists. In addition to their book, they frequently speak on podcasts and at conferences about using creative, culturally responsive practices to foster inclusive, identity-affirming school communities.
