Victoria Slocum

Victoria Slocum, Ph.D., is Director of Academic Accessibility Resources at Asbury University in Kentucky, USA. In this role, she serves as a disability subject matter expert, coordinating academic and facilities-based accommodations to ensure equal access to educational opportunities for students. She holds a PhD in Special Education and has earned certificates in assistive technology, cognitive disabilities, behavior disabilities, and learning disabilities. Her research focuses on the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in their faith communities.

Slocum is co-author of An Evidence-Based Guide to Assistive Technology: Meeting the Needs of All Students with Disabilities, published by SLACK Incorporated. She has also contributed scholarly work on the participation of people with intellectual disability in faith communities, including a dissertation titled Using Video Modeling Plus a System of Least Prompts to Teach People with Intellectual Disability to Participate in Faith Communities completed at the University of Kentucky.
