Tammy Heflebower
Tammy Heflebower, EdD, is an educator, consultant, and author whose work focuses on instructional leadership, assessment, and student engagement. She has served as a classroom teacher, building leader, district leader, regional professional development director, and national and international trainer, and she is president and CEO of !nspire Consulting, an education and business consulting firm. She also worked as vice president and senior scholar at Marzano Research and continues to be associated with Marzano Resources and Solution Tree.
Heflebower earned a bachelor’s degree from Hastings College, a master’s degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and a doctorate in educational administration from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Her published work includes The Highly Engaged Classroom and books such as A School Leader’s Guide to Standards-Based Grading, A Teacher’s Guide to Standards-Based Learning, Collaborative Teams That Transform Schools: The Next Step in PLCs, and Teaching and Assessing 21st Century Skills.
