Yvette Zgonc

Yvette Zgonc is an educator and author known for practical resources that help teachers build phonological awareness in early readers. She is the author of Interventions for All: Phonological Awareness, K–2: Assessment Tools and Strategies, originally published as Interventions for All: Phonological Awareness with Crystal Springs Books, a resource widely recommended for assessment and instruction within response-to-intervention and structured literacy frameworks. Her earlier book Sounds in Action: Phonological Awareness Activities & Assessment (2000) is also cited in literacy assessment materials and is the source of the Phonological Awareness Skills Test (PAST) adaptation used in schools.
