Bryan Goodwin
Bryan Goodwin is president and CEO of McREL International, a Denver-based nonprofit organization that conducts education research and supports schools and systems in applying the science of learning and teaching. A former teacher, college instructor, and journalist, he writes a regular research column for Educational Leadership and presents on research-informed practice to audiences across the United States and internationally, including in Canada, the Middle East, and Australia.
Goodwin is the author or coauthor of multiple books translating education research into practical strategies for educators, including Building a Curious School: Restore the Joy That Brought You to School (Corwin/McREL, 2020), Learning That Sticks: A Brain-Based Model for K–12 Instructional Design and Delivery (2020), The New Classroom Instruction That Works: The Best Research-Based Strategies for Increasing Student Achievement (2022), and Unstuck: How Curiosity, Peer Coaching, and Teaming Can Change Your School (2018).
