Danny Kofke is a former Georgia schoolteacher and personal finance author who taught for 18 years before leaving the classroom in 2020. He earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Florida Atlantic University and has written five personal finance books, including How to Survive (and Perhaps Thrive) on a Teacher’s Salary and A Simple Book of Financial Wisdom.
Kofke has worked as director of training and outreach for the Southern Education Retirement Consortium and has appeared on national television and been interviewed on more than 600 radio shows. His books and public work focus on helping teachers and other readers manage money, save effectively, and build financial security.
