Douglas B. Reeves

Douglas B. Reeves is an education scholar and consultant who has authored more than 40 books and over 100 articles on leadership, organizational effectiveness, and student achievement. He has worked with education, business, nonprofit, and government organizations throughout the world, including all 50 U.S. states and more than 40 countries. Reeves holds a PhD and is a fellow of the Institute of Coaching, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School. He is the founder of The Leadership and Learning Center and Creative Leadership Solutions, organizations focused on improving educational leadership, policy, teaching, and learning. His volunteer work includes serving as founding editor and co‑publisher of The SNAFU Review for disabled veterans, and creating the Marsh Writers Collaborative and Finish the Dissertation, which provide support and community for writers and doctoral candidates.

Reeves has received multiple recognitions for his contributions to education, including being twice named to the Harvard University Distinguished Authors Series, the Brock International Laureate award, the Contribution to the Field Award from the National Staff Development Council (Learning Forward), the Distinguished Service Award from the National Association of Secondary School Principals, and a Parents’ Choice Award for his writing for children and parents.
