Elizabeth Dobler

Elizabeth Dobler is a literacy professor at The Teachers College at Emporia State University in the United States, where her work focuses on the intersection of literacy and digital technology in K–6 education. She has contributed extensively to research and practice on integrating technology into literacy instruction, including work on reading on the internet, digital literacies, and strategic approaches to digital integration in early literacy classrooms.

Dobler is the coauthor of Technology with Intention: Designing Meaningful Literacy and Technology Integration, part of Heinemann’s Not This, But That series, which guides teachers in deciding when and how to use technology to support literacy learning. Her other books include Bridging Technology and Literacy: Developing Digital Reading and Writing Practices in Grades K–6 and From Curiosity to Deep Learning: Personal Digital Inquiry in Grades K–5, both of which provide practical frameworks for integrating digital tools into literacy instruction. She is also a coauthor of Teaching the Language Arts: Forward Thinking in Today’s Classrooms, reflecting her broader expertise in contemporary language arts teaching.
